My name is Tomas Samuolis and I've been swimming for most of my life. I am currently a senior at Lyons Township High School, where I am a varsity swimmer. I used to swim for Hornet Swim Club for 10 years, and now I swim for Hinsdale Swim Club.
When I started swimming, I wasn't very good at it. I wasn't committed and my practice attendance was disappointing. My freshman year, I realized I wasn't going to be satisfied with being a "middle of the pack" swimmer, and completely changed my work ethic. The improvements that I've had in that time period show that. Because of this, I've learned to appreciate the value of hard work, and I know what it takes to improve.
I'd like to swim for a program at a school that challenges me both academically and as an athlete, along with helping me best prepare for the real world.
