2018 Highlights

Personal Statement

I am a junior and have been dropping consistently in my my best events: 500yd free best time is 4:34.05(feb. 2018), 200yd free best time is 1:41.81(mar. 2018). I swam medley relay free split 20.99, we placed 3rd at Illinois High School State Meet and 17th in the Nation with an automatic All-American. I placed second at Illinois Senior State Championships in both 1000 free (9:27.99) and 1650 free (15:53.95). I am 6' but my Dad is 6'4" and I am still growing which will impact my times positively. I love swimming competitively but I also value working hard in school. I have a ACT Composite of 33/36 and 35/36 super score, GPA of 4.68/5.0 or 5.24/5.0 and I take all honors and AP courses and I enjoy participating in our school leadership council, community fundraising events, and computer science club. I am interested in pursuing computer science in college and hope to find a school where I can grow and balance my academic and athletic goals to ultimately have a positive impact on my teammates, as well as my classmates and the school community in general.
