Swimming has been my passion since 3rd grade. I participated in football, baseball, and hockey in elementary school. When I began swimming it just clicked. I loved it immediately. The sport of swimming has taught me so many life lessons. I have learned to be a better swimmer, better teammate, better leader, and better person. I have learned how to handle the highs and lows that come with swimming. In December of 2016, I broke my leg playing basketball. I was unable to swim the rest of my high school season. It was a huge disappointment, but I continued to go to practice to support my teammates. My teammates had voted me captain this year and I wanted to be there for them. Not being able to swim for 2 1/2 months made me realize how much I love the sport. I really missed it! My passion for swimming and my love of competing has returned in full force. I want to continue my swim career at the collegiate level.
