I have been swimming for both a summer league and the YCM since 2013. I have now swam two seasons with my high school team as well. First and foremost, I see swimming as a way of improving myself. The goals that I set for myself keep me motivated both in and out of the pool.
As a boy scout (current eagle scout candidate), I enjoy using swimming as a way to reflect myself. Primarily I strive to be friendly, kind and cheerful with team mates and competition alike.
I am enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program at my school and enjoy challenging myself and trying to be a well rounded student and athlete.
Overall, swimming is my way of ensuring that I am continuing to grow in all aspects of life. I hope to continue being a good team mate in the future, and set an example for younger swimmers and student athletes.
