My name is Brandon Bedestani. I am currently a sophomore at Georgetown Prep High School in Bethesda, Maryland.
I am dedicated to my school, friends, family, and swimming.
As a swimmer I have experienced the power of consistency first hand. Good habits, such as training with focus, diet, and good sleep replicated over time have helped me to achieve great results. In addition to swimming, I really enjoy skiing and playing tennis.
In school I am the co-sophomore class representative. I am a leader and great teammate. As a co-class rep I am responsible for meeting with fellow classmates and ensuring that their issues or concerns are relayed to the school administration. I also volunteer with Swim Up, which is a non-profit organization with the mission to instruct swimming to underserved communities in Washington, D.C. In my free time I also enjoy creative writing.
Each summer I enjoy traveling abroad. I have been fortunate to travel to Europe and Central Asia. When I travel I always enjoy open water swimming. Most of all I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and sharing what we have in common and enjoying our differences as well.
Both my parents served in the Army. I was born overseas and had the opportunity to live in a number of places before my parents settled down in Arlington, Virginia. Overall, I am a driven, positive person who leads by example and always wants to make the team better than I found it.
In college I would like to major in business, law, international relations, or medicine. I have a diverse set of academic interests and it is still too early for me to say with 100 percent certainty what I will major in.
