Swimming has been a major part of my life, and it began since I first went in a pool at the age of 2. I enjoy every thing about the unique and difficult sport.
During school, I intend to succeed and prepare myself for the challenges that I encounter. I am currently top of my class, and continue to excel with that title. To challenge myself and push myself to the best of my ability, I take 7/8 of my classes this school year as a junior for AP classes and have excelled in my academics in the past with other AP classes. Along with a challenging course load, I am involved in extra-curricular activities, such as math club, and in the process of the National Honor Society. I also worked as a lifeguard for which I needed to be CPR certified for the city of Annapolis. During my elementary up to 10th grade, I played the many vigorous pieces of music on the piano and was involved in competitions, such as the Steinway Piano competition.
When it comes to swimming, I push myself out of my comfort zone very practice. Being in the highest group on my team, I intend on being a good role model for the younger groups on my team. I do this by being one of the coaches on my summer swim team, which a lot of kids are on. I set myself as a prime example with these children, and they look up to me, and I love teaching and helping kids with the sport.
I am looking for a college in which I can be pushed to my limit and that I can improve a lot in, as well as enjoy and dive deeper into the sport of swimming.
