My favorite place to be is in the water; I feel strong there, I feel relaxed there, and driven there.

I like to challenge myself during practice and meets, as well as academically.  I set the tone for my practice group with my attitude and work ethic.   I am undertaking a rigorous course load at school and maintain a 3.9 unweighted GPA.

I may not be the fastest swimmer on our team, but every day I put forth my full effort and persevere through the highs and lows that are the sport I love.  I encourage others during meets and practices and strive to maintain an upbeat, positive attitude no matter the situation.

I am planning on majoring in Middle/High School Education with a minor in History; it is my goal to be a history teach and swim coach.  I want to have the opportunity to ignite the same passion that my coach and teachers have sparked in me.  I know I am a better person for having that passion, and I look forward to mentoring the next generation as well.
