Placing 6th at the MIAA DII State Championships my sophomore year was definitely one of my most memorable moments in my high school career. As I continued on with my season I was humbled by seeing the times of the other people that placed above me which helped me realize that I have to be the best in my own way. I believe what makes me stand out from other student athletes is that even if I lose, I always keep my head up and I don’t let a bad time put me down and I’ll continue on at that meet to do the best I can to cheer on my teammates. I take pride in my academics, sports, and other outside activities. When I truly know what I need to do, I always do my best by putting in 100% of my efforts into the goal I need to achieve. What I bring to any team I’m on is a good positive attitude, supporting and cheering on my teammates, and ultimately help make the team the best it can be even outside of the pool. All in all I believe I am a strong person who is confident in myself, my teammates, coaches and teachers. I am willing to put the work in and outside of the pool and only want to motivate my teammates and peers to do the best they can do.
