I have worked hard at two things in my life; school and swimming. My parents always said my one job was to do well in school and my response always was "that and swimming." I would say honestly that I have and continue to give my all in both those areas.
My junior year was an exciting one. The honors and advanced placement courses I had the opportunity to take, challenged me and I enjoyed it. I have enjoyed learning about accounting this year and it has sparked my interest in business and finance. I have also challenged myself on a new USA Team this past year and a half. I commute 40 minutes one way 6 times a week to be a part of a team that challenges me both from the coaching aspect and competition with my peers.
I am a leader both in the pool and in my school community. I was accepted into National Honors Society and I am a leader on my high school swim team. I have made the All Western Massachusetts Team since I was a freshman. Actually, as I type this, I am waiting to take part in the finals that I qualified for this morning for my USA Team. I am using this time to complete this application as well as get my homework done. Just like I said above, swimming and academics are my focus in life.
The most important thing I want you to know is that I am a life long learner both in and out of the pool. I am a great listener, open to suggestions, and dedicated hard worker. I look forward to working with you and show you all that I am capable of and I can't wait to swim for a college team!
