I have a wide range of academic strengths, with preference for math and science. I am an accomplished musician playing both the clarinet and bassoon. I have a natural competitive drive that is well suited to rowing. I started rowing with a club during winter break, and was told this would be a motivational challenge since I would not be able to get on the water for months. I like a challenge. I showed up, worked hard, and when the spring came along with the pandemic, they still couldn't slow me down. I fell in love with every inch of rowing and although my time has been hindered by forces beyond my own control, I will continue to break my own records until I can compete with others. I decided to graduate a year early, and in order to do so, as a junior, I have been taking only college courses. I am ready to move forward, and will find the means to do so.
