Christian Avery '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming since I was in elementary school. I joined the YMCA Sharks Swim Team 5 years ago, and have loved every minute of it. I have seen myself improve in my times, form, and skills. I am very lucky to be on a team that has great coaches and teammates who are supportive of each other. I would love the opportunity to keep swimming in college to see if I can keep improving my skills, and my times. I am hoping to join a team for a college that has a strong engineering program. My goal is to be able to use my education to build a career that I love. I got introduced to engineering in my freshman year, and it quickly became my favorite class. It was like I found something that I loved without even looking for it. Also, I'm very into saving our oceans, and I would like to use my engineering education to help design equipment that would help us explore the deeper parts of the ocean, to get a better understanding of our planet.
