Personal Statement
I am a 5’11” swimmer from Groton, NY and will graduate in June, 2019. I have been swimming competitively for 11 years and have qualified for the New York State championships every year. I am entering my senior swim year with excitement and anticipation of a great season for myself and for our team. I have a 3.9 GPA and a 1200 SAT score.
I am looking for a college or university where I can find the right balance between my studies and swimming competitively. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of biology and life sciences. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate, positive impact on the team. I believe my best fit would be at the high academic DIII level.
