Hello, my name is Vir Gill. I've been swimming since I was one and a half years old when I used to live in Mexico, though I am from India. My parents signed me up for swim lessons because I had an attraction to water, I loved being in water, and was always the last one out of the pool. When I moved to Brazil, my parents signed me up for swim clubs, and when I moved to the United States in 2015, I joined Long Island Express, and since freshman year, I've been swimming for my varsity swim team. During the last few years on the varsity team, I developed a strong motivation to keep improving, and have. Although, like many of us, my plans had been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, but ever since we have been permitted to swim again, I have continued to persevere, and drop time during every swim meet. I continue to work hard during every practice, and have already set up my goals for this high school swim season. I'm very excited to see what I've been training for will do for me and my team.
