Dear Yet To Be Met Swim Coaches,
My goal in life is to be a Physician assistant. All my life I have had to deal with celiac disease and lactose intolerance, so this this is an area I have personal experience. I feel my experience will help me in this field. However, if this career choice doesn’t work out, I am open to anything in the medical field. After my swimming career, I would like to be a swim coach. However, I would also like to educate myself in the other areas of aquatic sports; diving, water polo, rowing, and open water swimming are some areas of interest when it comes to coaching. A jack of all trades if you will.
I am an Eagle Scout. I achieved this rank in the spring of 2018. I might not be as fast as you might want me to be now, but I am eager to learn and get faster. Working 1 on 1 or small group work to prefect my stroke helps a lot. I have also spent a lot of time outside the pool stretching and working on my flexibility.
I have one heluva personality, I try to be the funny yet serious kind of swimmer. I also have a very sarcastic personality that goes along with it. Currently, I’m well liked on my team. I have many inside jokes with swimmers and coaches alike. For example, in my sophomore year of swimming, I flexed for the team picture and everyone thought it was hilarious. I also got a paper plate award for it. However, during meets, I respect those who swim against me as if they were a friend that I have never met before. As for athletics and academics, I will do everything to the best of my ability to balance the two in a healthy way.
