I started swimming at a young age and continued for a few years. After a short time, the morning practices were not something we could reasonably participate in because of work schedules, and I took a 5-6 year break to focus on baseball, which held evening practices and games. I started to swim on organized teams again the summer before my sophomore year, and ever since then, I've wanted nothing more than to be in the pool and continuously improve. I know my current times are not nearly the times that I want to achieve, but I am confident I will continue to improve tremendously throughout my senior season and into college, as I have proven in years past. I have dropped a huge amount of time in each of my events since I returned to competitive swimming. I feel as though a few strong qualities I possess are my potential for growth and my willingness to work hard to improve as much as I can. I am also a very competitive person and I feel as though that drive helps me push forward past any boundaries.
