I always knew I wanted to be a swimmer, the problem was that I didn’t know how to swim. I kept asking my mom to teach me the different strokes or to find me a coach who would. So after a few months of my asking, and nothing happening, I signed myself up for the middle school swim team. My sisters now both swim, and we spend a lot of time at swim meets. Because of this sport, I have made many friends and connections, and I have found a love for competitive distance swimming.
I also am a very serious student. I try to get good grades in the most challenging classes offered at my school. This, combined with my commitment to swimming, does not leave me with much free time during the day. However, with what little free time I have, I can be found reading, or working on the computer. I have had multiple instances where I have found a good book and as a result, stayed up until unreasonable hours to finish it. I have also constructed my own gaming computer, and am almost always working on some sort of project on this computer. All of these characteristics have made me who I am, and I plan to put them to good use in my college career.
