Joshua Harris '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josh Harris. I am a member of the graduating class of 2020 at Union Academy Charter School in Monroe, North Carolina. I am currently playing varsity basketball as a sophomore (Point Guard) and varsity football (Running Back & Corner Back). In addition to Football and Basketball, in the Spring I run Track and also play basketball for an organization named "NC B.E.S.T. 2020." I have been successful in both sports and continue to improve on my weaknesses. 

I have been playing basketball, baseball ,and football since I was 5. Playing sports has helped me learn how to work hard and compete at a high level. My dad played a lot of sports throughout his life and even in college, he played football for Wingate University. My dad started coaching my team when I was 5 so I could play flag football. Being around sports my whole life has taught me how to play as a team player and work hard at all times even in the classrooms.

Along with football, basketball and track I enjoy working out, training, and watching basketball. All of these help towards my goal of playing basketball in college, so I will do whatever it takes to make sure I will play at the next level. I am also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

My future goals are to continue to maintain a strong GPA, and score well on both the SAT and ACT. I will continue to play basketball and run track during my sophomore season with aims of improving from my freshman season. My goal when I graduate is to pursue a higher education in College and to play collegiate Basketball.
