Ryleigh Clayborn '22 Recruiting Profile

I’ve been playing volleyball since I was in the 6th grade. The day of tryouts was when I learned how to play and that’s when I realized I’m a fast learner to the sport. The coach  didn’t know to either put me on JV or Varsity. That put a lot of confidence in me. After 5 years of playing I‘ve grown a lot in the sport. I’ve gotten a lot of love and I‘ve been through a lot of tough times . I do all I can to be the best I can. Through many hours of personal training, watching my film, getting advice from people that have been in my shoes, and making goals that I know I can achieve. 

My goal is to use all this hard work and get to where I want to be. I want my college coach to be happy that they recruited me and have no doubts about it. I’ve learned how to stay focus through the hard matches and how to be a good athlete to both my teammates and coaches. But I also want to continue being a good student athlete. I plan on majoring in Public Relations, Sports Marketing/ Marketing, or Sports Communication.
