2024 SpotlightPersonal Statement
I have always loved swimming. I love the atmosphere of the pool deck - getting psyched for my races, cheering on my teammates, meeting new people from other teams. I love the adrenaline rush when standing behind the blocks, the feel of the cold water when I dive in, and my clear mind as I execute what I've been practicing. I love the push to the finish gasping for air, the sense of accomplishment when I check the scoreboard, and the chance to do it again and again. I want to experience this in a collegiate setting where the competition is fierce, the team is competitive and supportive, and the coaches are driven to make me the best.
