Hello! I am Deaglan Neighbor and I am currently a Sophomore in high school. I've been swimming since I was five years old and I would love to continue swimming for four more years! Whenever I have a brief break between Club, High School, or Summer Swim, I realized how much I missed my team and the camaraderie we share with each other. It gives me a drive that inspires me to push myself in the pool. When I was a Freshman at my small Catholic high school, my mother urged me to swim during the winter for our local public high school. I knew a few of the team members from Club and Summer Swim, but I was worried about how I would be received from the other members. I now realize my fears were pointless because we got along right away. Now I'm always excited when I get the chance to meet up with them in and outside of the pool. I have learned that so much can be learned from taking chances and putting my best self forward; whether if be in the pool, on the football field, in serving my community. There is always so much to be gained by sharing myself with others. I am still undecided as to what course of study I would like to pursue in college, however I know that I would like swimming to be a part of my college life. I want to continue to push myself to excel in classes and to go the extra mile in the pool!
