Jaques Harrison '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Jaques Harrison,

I am swimmer from Canada who would like to continue my post secondary education and swim on the university swim team. My areas of interest in the classroom are:  Environmental Sciences and Environmental Studies.

I currently swim in Canada for Crest Swim Club, and with dedication and ongoing commitment during the 2024 season I qualified and attended the Canadian Olympic Trials and Canadian Swimming Championships. During the current season I swam at the Ontario Junior International short coarse meet in Toronto where I was on the podium three times. My goal for the 2025 season is to be a serious contender for a spot on the Canadian Junior National Team which will represent Canada in Romania. My long term swimming goal is to be again a serious contender for a spot on the Canadian Olympic National Team in 2028.

I am hard working in an out of the pool long with my weekly swimming commitments of over 18 hours, I also work at my part-time job as a lifeguard and study full-time at my french speaking high school where I fluently bilingual. I am a goal oriented person and once I realize my goal I am focused until it is achieved. I feel I would be a good candidate for your team as over the past year I have risen to become a top level swimmer in Canada and feel with the appropriate continued training during my university years my swimming career is just beginning and my future goals will become reality.
