Alex Kovell '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a good candidate for a college swim team because I am a leader, and I like to push myself to be better.  I am an Eagle Scout and work very well with others always trying to push others to do their best.  I have been captain of the Byrnes High School team for two years (my junior and senior year).   I have been an athlete my whole life.  

I started Swimming in the 7th grade with my high school team, and I started running on the Cross Country team my sophomore year.  I stopped running to focus on my swimming my junior year.   I have qualified and attended High School State competitions for three years in a row.  I started swimming with a YMCA club team, YSSC , in 2015.  I  have risen to some of the highest ranks in club swimming, attending State competitions and the National team in 2019.

I am a good student and enjoy learning.  I am unsure of what major I will choose; although, I am interested in sport science/medicine,  business and human biology.   

I hope you will consider me as a candidate for your swim team, and I hope to have a lot of fun as well as get much better with my new team mates.
