Ayden Russell '26 Recruiting Profile

I started swimming about 2 years ago, I had never swam competitively but felt like it was something I would enjoy since I loved being in the water. I am a very self disciplined person so I knew I had what it took to really commit after 7 years playing travel Baseball. All it took was one season on a local YMCA team and I was hooked. I committed to a full year round Swim on various clubs, YMCA, and my High School team here at Easley High. My goal is to always be better than I was the day before, it drives me in anything that I do and I stay very focused on achieving that goal from sun up to sun down. 

I am a straight A honors and AP student who is also taking aviation classes at a career center which is not easy to get into. In my spare time, I fly airplanes as a student pilot in the hopes of one day piloting humanitarian missions to those in need. I am rooted and firm in my beliefs to do good and work hard. It is just how I have been raised and what I have grown up seeing my parents do. I am a member of the National Honors Society, National Technical Honors Society, Christian Athletes, and ROTC.

I am coachable, a great team player, humble, and most of all I care about doing the best both individually as well as contributing to a common team goal. I am looking to attend a school who would offer aviation as I am seeking a degree in that field but really just love to swim and would like to keep swimming through college in any way that I can. I am not here because I need or seek a scholarship, I am here because I want to keep my passion for swim continuing when my High School career ends.
