2013 HighlightsPersonal Statement
At the beginning of the long course season I set my sights on improving all facets of my swimming, with special focus on strength and stamina. I am very pleased with how my season turned out. I maintained a two a day practice schedule, swim instructor job, and 130 mile round trip drive each day. It was all worth it, as I tied for high point champion at the 2013 Southern Zone Senior LC Championships in Plantation, Florida. It is my belief that as a result of a very busy summer I have become much more mentally tough. I am pleased with my progression and look forward to swimming at Winter Junior Nationals in December. It is with much excitement and anticipation that I begin my senior year and another short course season. It is my hope that I find the right coach and college to take me to the next level in swimming and life.

- My current training regimen as of the month of April 2013 consists of two, 2 hour sessions a day totaling over 12,000 short course meters (SCM). I also do an intense 30 minute dryland circuit where I train with medicine balls, kettle bells (light), and jump roping. I am not involved with any weight lifting. All of my strength training comes from the exercises listed above.
