Quinten Deysel '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Quinten Deysel. I am 17 and I was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. I started swimming at 11 years old, and it has been my passion ever since. I enjoy racing at meets, hard practices, and getting better at the sport I love. For years, I have strived and achieved many goals I have set for myself in and out of the pool. Having a great swim coach and teammates and the support I have from my parents led me to break school records, city records, and compete in the State Championship meet. With the help of my mentors and teachers, I have taken many AP/honors classes, a great 3.78 GPA, and a solid academic background. Balancing academics and sports may sound hard, but I believe with a great work ethic; you can overcome any challenge in your way. For me, swimming is a lifestyle, something I cannot give up on, a dream, and a sport I hope to continue with throughout my college career.
