Swimming has really affected my life and taught me so many things. I've never found so much enjoyment in an activity while still working hard and trying my best every day. This sport has taught me so much like how to be disciplined and given me the ability to push through hard times while maintaining focus on a long term goal. Swimming at the collegiate level is a dream of mine and I truly believe that I can make it to a high level in the sport while still keeping a focus on academics and school work. Swimming even helps calm me when I'm stressed or worried and is genuinely something that I love and plan on doing in some way or another for the rest of my life. I'm also very competitive while in the pool especially with my friends or rivals and have found almost no better feeling than winning a race against them. Outside of the pool I try to keep a good diet and focus on school or other social activities with my friends and enjoy working as a coach for younger swimmers through private lessons and volunteer work through my high school.
