Hi, my name is Kaden Kozsuch and I am looking to swim for a great team at the collegiate level. I am the youngest of 4 and I consider myself to be a leader, not by being the fastest or strongest, but by striving to display perseverance to those around me. I focus on making myself better and guiding those around me every day. I consider myself very devoted to my training, academics and time management. I am willing to swim whatever events I need to further the success of my team. I believe in a strong relationship of transparency with my coach. My goal is to be the best swimmer I can be and in that motivate others to do the same. I never give up on my goals and I will always trust my coach.
I began swim in 8th grade. I underwent chest surgery the summer prior and needed to transition to a non contact sport while I was healing. I became passionate about swimming and devoted my time to training my freshman year and placed 3rd at TAPPS state in the 100 breast. While the chest issue did create some struggles for me, I have been determined to overcome any setbacks it might cause. My sophomore year I trained hard and received 2 golds and 2 silvers at state. This spring I underwent a much waited for second and final chest surgery. I am excited to put the difficulties I have dealt with the past three years behind me. I more ready than ever to train harder and go faster. I have been working diligently to improve my practices and my races and know I will accomplish much during my junior year.
I aspire to be the best swimmer I can be whether it is in the pool or out of the pool. I believe the obstacles I have faced have taught me true perseverance and how to keep a positive attitude. I do not believe anything will deter me from trying to improve or to fail to see the good in life. I will bring a positive attitude and a willing heart and mind to your team.
