Personal Statement

Hello, I’m Santiago Cloud and I’ve been swimming for 9 years and through this time have been able to swim at multiple state meets. At these states meets I have been ranked within the top ten of all distance races which were the 500, 1,000 and 1 Mile. 

At my last state meet I had qualified for three Speedo Meets but was unable to compete due to a tear in my shoulder. Though I was unable to compete for a near 5 months I learned many valuable lessons about swimming by being a Team Captain and Coach. 

In this time of recovery I learned the importance of keep sight of goals that may seem distance and the importance of focusing energy in a positive way to not only train but to be healthy for competition.
