Hi, My name is JeanPaul Santamaria you may know a little bit about me from my profile. But i am here to tell you more i am going to be graduating in the year 2021. My college aspirations are to play college tennis at a Division 1 level. Many people over the years that i have known have gone into taking the next step into playing college tennis and I believe i am the right person for you. I am hardworking and have a tough mentality on the court. I believe in myself, in my tennis, and my goals. I believe what makes me different from all the other recruits in character, athletics, and academics is that from a very young age i have strived to be the best i can in tennis and in academics. I also have learned the importance from working hard and the value of time.
I had a wrist injury and it took a long time for the wrist to heal and it took 5 months. Then quickly after i first learned about my injury and the recovery time i decided it would be to long away from the court. So i decided to learn how to play lefty. So i learned to play that way for 3 months until i got back to playing with my dominant hand, which made me a much better player giving me a very aggressive backhand. So my ability to overcome my obstacles and struggles made me tougher and helped me become a much better player and learn about my character.
I believe what also makes me different is that i have a twin brother that i have been practicing and competing along with since i have started playing tennis. He has pushed me and showed me the value of hard work. Because i always push him and he always pushes me to give my best and having that person alongside me during tennis and life has showed me the value of having a team and a friend.
My brother and i have won the Mayors Cup Doubles in New York city twice. We also have played Main Draw doubles 16's this past 2019 season. I have also played Eddie herr and Orange bowl since the age of 14 years old. I have also got to the Quarterfinals of and ITF Grade 5 in El salvador and have played the Grade 1 in College park. I believe that i am the best person for you and am ready to play for you!
