Hi, my name is Ryan. I started playing tennis when I was young but never took it seriously until I tried out for my high school team and I was quick to realize I was the worst player on the team. After being very disappointed about this, I started taking lessons with a coach at a nearby club and after a couple months I started to show a lot of progress in my game. I was out at the tennis club every weekend trying to get better and better and when the season started up the next year, I went all the way up to 3rd singles and had a pretty good record too. During covid and quarantining, I was still trying to get better in whatever way I can by doing conditioning and hitting against the wall on the side of my house and when the courts opened back up, I barely even skipped a beat. Now as of my senior year, I am currently 2nd singles and hoping to play in a 4.0-4.5 league after I graduate. One of the biggest things I learned from my entire high school tennis experience is that through a lot of dedication and work ethic will help me along with my tennis journey and along with life at the same time.
