Since I was just 3, I always had a love, desire, and passion for tennis. My dad, who played on his high school and college tennis teams started taking me on the court at an early age and we would just start hitting around with me. My dad saw great potential in me since I was just a toddler. I had a natural style and hitting over the net came easy to me. Today, as a high school #1 Varsity freshman, I see myself continuously improving, gaining strong skills, and becoming a proficient tennis player. I have always enjoyed playing tennis. It seems to come naturally for me. Of course, I also want to be very successful academically. My desire is to become a physician. I really want to help others and treat people with illnesses. I’ve taken a lot of AP courses in my first year of HS. My sincere hope and desire is to get accepted into an Ivy League university, like Yale, Princeton, or Harvard. For this to happen, I know I will have to give 110% each day. I want to succeed and make my family proud. I know that with the passion and sincere love I have for tennis, I can help myself get there by earning a scholarship and getting recognized by college recruiters for my exceptional skills and talent as a tennis player. Some of the unique characteristics I possess is that I have a strong passion, dedication, and determination to succeed. When I’m on the court, I am already thinking and strategizing on how to overcome my opponent. During my freshman year, there were a number of tennis tournaments in which I was the only one on my school team to win consecutively, while all others lost. My coach has tremendous confidence in me and knows he can always count on me to give 110%. Given the opportunity, I know I will be an invaluable asset to any academic institution.
