Christopher Gerety '22 Recruiting Profile

I come from a family with three generations actively competing in tennis.     I grew up playing at Bellevue Golf Club, where I began tennis lessons at five years old and last year was named the Men's Singles Club Champion.    I began playing competitively in the North Shore League at age 10 and have participated in several USTA matches with the intention of adding more this coming summer.  I have been a starter on the varsity tennis team at Austin Preparatory School since seventh grade and have been the #1 singles player since my freshman year.  

I have a 3.9/4.0 GPA, having taken all honors and AP classes.  I have consistently received Distinction for my academics.  I was selected by the school faculty and athletic director to the Unitas Leadership Academy, with monthly training with day-long activities and exercises, travelling to colleges and meeting with consultants such as those from the FBI and JFK Library.  I plan on taking all honors and two AP classes next year.

I am looking for schools in the Northeast region where I can continue my studies as well as my tennis career.
