Growing up I played many different sports including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and of course, tennis. I played a few of these sports through middle school and up until high school. During the transition between middle and high school I realized that tennis was my true passion, and what I wanted to do going forward.
My transition to high school included many changes other than sports. During my first semester it became apparent to me that my current school was not a good fit for me. It was a difficult decision to leave my friends behind but I knew it was best for me to transfer schools to Grand Rapids Christian High School to continue growing as both a student and a person. The second half of my Freshman year, sophomore year, and junior year where outstanding, both academically and sports wise.
The fall of 2018 I made the varsity tennis team and played four singles behind a pair of seniors who had played for three years prior. Overall I had a great season, going 24-5, winning my flight at conference and making a state semifinals appearance. I had a great year in 2019 as well. I played two singles and was a finalist at both regionals and conference. I've been hitting in an elite class at Grand Rapids Racquet and Fitness since the spring of 2019. I have also been playing in USTA tournaments on the weekends.

Looking to the future I see myself continuing my tennis career in a college setting, while pursuing a higher degree of academic excellence.
