Jack Callaghan '20 Recruiting Profile

Being one of triplets, two sisters, in a single parent home has been instrumental in developing my strong, hard-working attitude in life. It has not always been easy so sacrifices and patience attributed to me getting to lessons, clinics and tournaments so that I could develop in the sport I have passion for. I began playing tennis at the age of 4 in a club setting. At age 8 I began playing lacrosse which I enjoyed from the aspect of team sport and being with my friends however when I made Varsity my Freshman year and played 4S, I realized I had to dedicate my time to the sport that I love. I enjoy not just the matches but practice and improving. What makes me different than others is that I never give up; I fight for every last point. I strive to get every shot with my speed, agility and endurance on the court that I have been working on with my trainer. I listen to the input of all coaches and will apply what they say to my game.

As a part of my strong beliefs in the importance of academics I work to stay on the honor roll in high school and would apply the same effort to college and graduate school. Over the last few years I have participated in an intern program at Barwis Methods working with Pro-Athletes and  Injury Recovery which has helped in my leadership skills and to grow as an individual. I am continuing to work on all aspects of my game and apply my best in academics to further prepare me to compete at the college level and help lead and motivate a team to success.
