In all my accomplishments I have made throughout my high school career I have always worked hard and focused on preparation. I would like to continue to use these skills at the collegiate level. Whether it is in academics or on the court I always give 100%. During my tennis career I have made it a high priority to develop relationships with my teammates on and off the court. I feel this benefits any team, though tennis can be a very individual sport.
One of the many things I have learned from tennis is to never give up. I think this philosophy can be applied to academics or anything worth working towards in life. Whether you're down a set or received a disappointing grade on a paper you should never count yourself out, because you learn from each mistake. Also tennis has taught me sportsmanship and self-control. To be a gracious winner and loser is a testament of one's character.
