I am Jacob Reavis a senior at Ashe County High School. I have played tennis for four-years. I am dedicated to improving my tennis game by taking private lessons with Deere Valley Athletic Club. I have been attending Deere Valley for two-years now. As a sophomore, I climbed five seeds, placing me at the number one seed. During this season, I was nominated for my academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, and my tennis record for the Mountain Times Men's Tennis Player of the Year out of Watauga, Ashe, and Avery county. This goes to speak for my dedication to my education. I challenge myself to rigorous courses every year in preparation for college. Some of these classes include AP Statistics, AP Government and Politics, AP Language and Composition, ART111 (Dual Enrollment), ENG111 (Dual Enrollment), etc. With the classes I have taken, I will happily graduate with my Associate's in Arts. Alongside my academics and tennis, I am highly active in my community. I have over one hundred community service hours which includes volunteering for Boone Family, local churches, Ashe Really Cares, etc. My goal as a student athlete is not only to represent my school proudly but to also put a smile on faces in my community.
