My name is Anthony(AJ) Sidoti. It is my goal to play college tennis and further my tennis career. I am a dedicated student and athlete. What makes me different is that I got a late start to my tennis career. I am fairly new to the game and haven't yet begun to reach my true potential. I am currently a Sophmore in high school only truly focusing on tennis beginning December or 2021. Prior, I had my focus on three sports (golf, basketball and tennis) until my Club Coach worked with me to focus my talents on tennis. At that time my UTR was a 5.0. Now, only one year later my UTR is a 7.93. That is 3 UTR points in 1 year and I haven't even begun to exhibit my true talent. Other recruits the same age have been playing tennis for many years and might have more points and larger UTR scores at this age, however, I am young and still working to perfect my game, on and off the court. I have worked extremely hard over the last year and am motivated to play tennis in college and beyond. Although I dream to play professional tennis I also have worked hard in school as well. I have a 3.8 GPA and am looking to expand my education focusing on sports, athletics, business and healthcare. Working hard is very important to me on the court and especially in school. On the court I am a good teammate and leader. I aspire to be the best I can by working hard each and every practice. In addition, I make time to focus on my education by taking high level honors courses and scheduling AP courses for next year. I am highly motivated and highly coachable athlete which makes me stand out from the rest.
