While I am uncertain of what I want my future career to be, my goal is to obtain a bachelor's degree from a four year institution and possibly attend graduate school. I have many strengths that I believe will be relevant to being a part of a collegiate tennis team. My strengths are that I am very driven, a hard worker, very trustworthy, organized, a fast learner, detail-oriented, and I possess great communication skills. The many extracurricular activities that I am a part of and the many opportunities I have been provided make me different from other recruits in character, athletics, and academics. I have been able to cultivate excellent leadership skills through my involvement in Leadership Greer, my enrollment in my high school's leadership class for the last two years, and taking part in the prestigious Palmetto Boy's State held at Anderson University. Also, I have done a lot of volunteer work at places such as The Carpenter's Table, Greer Soup Kitchen, Miracle Hill, and several other non-profit organizations in South Carolina. Through these experiences, I have been able to make relationships in my community, improve my social skills, learn valuable life lessons, and learn the importance of being humble. My determination to be a collegiate tennis athlete can be seen in my hard work on and off the court through my involvement in Haviland Tennis Academy, making the 5A South Carolina State Singles Tournament, doing summer workouts with my high school's cross country team, being the number one player on my high school tennis team, and working out at the gym in my spare time. However, my academic work and my education have always come first and are of the utmost importance to me. My hard work and constant studying has helped me to earn a 3.7 GPA on the 4.0 scale and be selected to be a member of the National Honors Society. My passion for the game, ability to work well with others, and determination to be the best will make me an asset to any collegiate tennis team.
