From a young age, I have been dedicated to tennis, practicing for 5 hours a day and achieving a high level of skill and discipline. Academically, I maintain a high GPA and am ranked 11th in my class, reflecting my commitment to excellence both on and off the court.
I am planning to major in computer science. I am a passionate individual who strives to leverage technology for societal change. I have done a couple of projects over the years to solve current global problems. One of the problems I was trying to solve was an early diagnosis of Adrenocortical Carcinoma, a rare cancer in the adrenal glands. I made a Convolutional neural network, an AI model, to predict the cancer in its earlier stage. My model achieved very high and accurate results compared to most studies for this cancer. I also saw that in my community a lot of people were struggling with OCD and Depression so I made an OCD and Depression management app that has courses, videos, exercises, diagnostic tests, a therapist finder, and a quantitative analysis of your progress. I also have a non-profit called Youth Opportunities in Tech Innovation or YOTI where we make free websites for other organizations, as well as mentor students in programming and front-end website development. What makes our organization different is that we provide the students with real clients seeking websites and provide them with the training to create these websites for other clients. They learn not only programming skills but also job experience and client communication skills. As you can see, I am very passionate, and aware of both activities in my community and the world, and strive to propose a solution.
On the tennis side of things, I am very passionate about the sport and do intensive practice every day. I strive to be the best and push harder than my peers around me. I have a good work ethic and try to train myself technically, physically, and mentally. I use the experiences I learned from all the initiatives I started and all the things I do outside of tennis to drive my game. For example, I use my critical thinking and quick comprehension on the task that I learned from being in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team, and whenever the robot is broken or we need to analyze the other teams I can do it quickly. I use that skill when playing matches and I can quickly analyze the player and use that to my advantage. I play tournaments every other week and have traveled across the country as a kid for tournaments. I played Big Mo internationals and placed top 3 in Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles for 3 years. I am very passionate about playing tennis and love playing tournaments.
So In conclusion, I am unique because of the many experiences I have and my passion for change. I am dedicated and have a strong work ethic. I use all the skills I learned to my advantage when playing tennis.
