My ultimate goal for college is to be accepted into a community that is supportive and encouraging, yet forces me out of my comfort zone. I am currently attending the Alaska Middle College School (AMCS) which was recently adopted by the University of Alaska, Anchorage. This program allows for a handful of high school juniors and seniors to be accepted and allowed to take college-level courses. My goal for this program is to earn an Associates of Arts degree by my 4th semester as a Middle College student. Along with 4 college classes, I also am balancing a job and track workouts several times a week. With this in mind, I believe I would be a valuable asset to any college track team as I am a well-rounded, hard-working individual who does what it takes to be successful. This is proven through my overall 4.0 GPA, academic success, and extracurricular activities. I am constantly looking for new challenges and effective ways to approach them, applying the essential life skills I have learned through becoming an Eagle Scout and constantly exposing myself to new things.
