Angelo Ramos '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Angelo Ramos, I attend Placer High School in Auburn, California, and I am seeking to continue my athletic passion for track and field at a higher level. My personal records so far are officially 138 ft in discus, 151 ft in hammer, and 40.1 ft in shot put. However, during my off-season due to the pandemic I have been consistently training and practicing for discus and hammer throw. If I am accepted into an institution of higher learning, I hope to further my education while pursuing my dream of competing at the collegiate level. I would like to attain a degree that will provide me the knowledge and skills to be successful in the career of my choice while challenging myself by engaging in collegiate athletics. Since I was young, one of my goals has been to take part in a sport at a competitive and prestigious level which I could accomplish at a university.  

As an athlete and a student, I know how to prioritize my responsibilities. This past term, I maintained a 3.65 GPA while cross fit training, weight lifting, and practicing discus throwing and hammer throw on a weekly basis. Everyday I strive to be a better version of myself in both the classroom and on the field. I take pride in my work ethic and if I’m selected I’ll do the work to meet your expectations.
