I aspire to be the best runner I can be and even better than that. My hard work and dedication are some characteristics that I maintain and help prove that I would be a good candidate to any team. I have a tendency of being realistic and knowing what I can and cannot do, however I do not let challenges overcome me, I persevere. Despite most of my time going into Cross Country and Track, I also try to uphold a high standard of academics by enrolling in rigorous AP classes. As such, AP classes have provided me the opportunity to have an insight of what college courses are like which I feel puts me ahead of other athletes since I will be better prepared for my transition from high school to college. While I have managed to obtain high academic standards, I have spent time before and after school going on runs with my high school team. Although running before and after school may seem like an easy task, waking up before the sun rises has gotten some getting used to. As well as changing to a healthier diet and sleeping schedule to ensure I have enough energy to run and stay healthy. Overall, I hope to pursue running at a collegiate level to inspire others in my community to do the same. My journey started as a result of having nothing to do during the Pandemic, and with that I began running on numerous trails and roads to build my endurance and have something to look forward to everyday. Running has become more than just a sport or hobby, but rather a lifestyle.
