Personal Statement

My name is Matthew, and I’m passionate about running track at the collegiate level. My goal is to push myself to new limits both on the track and in the classroom, while contributing to the success of the team. Since my first time running track 6 years ago I developed a love for the sport. Finally finding a sport where I felt like I belong is what helps motivate me to be the best that I can on the track and in school. Outside of school I have dedicated my time to helping the community through BTC (Boys Team Charity). Of course the medals matter because I want to make the people around me proud. But what carries me the most is the teamwork and friendships that come out of such a great sport. My largest source of inspiration is bringing all of my heart to the sport of track that I love through my high school career and beyond.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
