Running has been a very important part of my life since 9th grade. I grew up playing sports as my main hobby and social activity and played little league baseball and youth basketball consistently. My parents have been strong supporters of engaging in a positive youth sports culture and they helped me to stay motivated and challenge myself. Most importantly, I grew up with my twin brother sharing and competing in all the sports we played together. I feel privileged that my brother and I can do long runs in the hills together in my hometown of Los Altos almost every day of the year. I know I will run for the rest of my life. The next objective after high school is competing in college. I’ve been improving rapidly throughout my HS career and love competing. I am confident that I will continue to improve and will be competitive in college athletes.
Academics and running are equally important to me. My favorite subject is math and I have proved myself strong in math and science. I am very interested in continuing my education in the field of engineering in a strong competitive learning environment and hope to attend one of the nation’s top engineering schools while competing at the highest possible level in college sports.
