Personal Statement
I am willing to put in the work. I routinely run 70 mile weeks out of season and 60 mile weeks in season. This is how I have brought my 5k time down from 19:22 to 16:08 in 2 years. My coach says I'm due to have another breakthrough as well. My motivation and work ethic continues in the classroom, where as a homeschooled student I have maintained an unweighted 3.9, with just one final grade that was not an A across all of high school. In college, I will immediately be one of your hardest workers and will continue to work my hardest in the classroom and on the track and grass until I graduate. I know that my hard work will make me a great fit for both your university and running program. Thank you.
