I am the oldest of two children. My parents are both Naval officers in the medical field, so discipline and punctualness are two things that I have learned to value and hold high in my standards. I have been participating in competitive sports since I was four years old. I have played soccer and flag football, swam, and now participate in track and cross country for my school. Outside of school, I referee league soccer, am involved in our church as a crucifer, and am engaged in the Spanish Exchange Program. Participating in sports has taught me that being a part of a team means working together for the good of that team. Individual accomplishments are great but team accomplishments can be even more rewarding. While I am fiercely competitive in sports and in school I truly like seeing my teammates excel. I work hard, stay busy, listen, and push myself. The only obstacle I have had to overcome is my own self doubt.
