Hello Coaches,
In middle school, my mother gave me a choice: I would either have to do the school play, or run cross country. Back then, I was very shy, so I chose cross country. I immediately fell in love with the sport even though I could not run in meets due to the school's policy. Ever since, I have been a top 12 runner in each of the teams (7th through 11th grade) I have been on since. Furthermore, I believe that every runner matters, and that each runner pushes the one ahead of him.
Academically, I attend one of the most prestigious day schools in the US (The Westminster Schools). Every year I have attended this school, I have pushed myself to take the hardest classes possible so I could learn the most I could, even if it meant that my grades would drop.
Finally, I have a younger brother who looks up to me as a role model. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with him, writing poetry, and playing soccer, the other varsity sport I do.
