My love for running started back in 2017, when I signed up to run my first ½ marathon here on Maui. I ended up taking second place in the 18 and under category. I realized then that I enjoyed all aspects of running. I joined my middle school cross country team as well. Last year I qualified for the cross country State Championship which was held on Kauai. But my love for track really didn't start until my sophomore year. I attend a school without a track facility so track meets are the only time we really get to run the exact distance we practice for. This year I broke the school record for the 400m and the 4X400m and the 4X100m. I also took 1st place in the MIL Championship in the 400m and qualified for the state competition ........ but I'm not done yet. I like to surf and teach people how to surf and stay active any free time I get. I am committed and excited for my future in running. Like one on my coaches always says ;
