Joshua Nichols '19 Recruiting Profile

I will be graduating in May 2019 from North Star Charter School.  I started participating in track my 7th grade year and have loved competing ever since.  North Star does not have a track facility so that has presented some challenges for our team.  I have improved my triple and long jump distances consistently each season.  I respond well to having competition at meets and typically perform better when other athletes are challenging me.  In my junior year season I placed first in triple jump eight out of nine meets.  I finished my season strong by breaking the triple jump state meet record by 9".  In addition to jumping, I like sprints and continue to work on my speed. 

North Star Charter is an International Baccalaureate high school with a very challenging academic curriculum.  I feel I will be well prepared for the transition to college.  In college I would like to obtain an undergraduate degree which will allow me to continue on to a higher level program in the medical field.  

Some other personal interests I enjoy are camping, wake boarding, wake surfing, riding ATVs, hiking, biking, reading, watching movies, and playing games.  I am the oldest of three kids and have a younger brother and sister.
