Personal Statement

I would be a great candidate on your team in the near future. As an incoming 11th grader, I have found that can compete very well in long distance races. During the 2018 Cross Country season, I placed 18th in Boys 4A Championship race at state with a time of 16:09. During to the summer, I like to compete in events such as Ragnar and The Redfish Lake Memorial Run. Over the summer I run 300 to 350 miles. I enjoy running everyday and I always push myself to my limit because I always know that there is room for improvement. I take running seriously to keep myself healthy, competitive, and motivated for my future. One thing about me is that I hold my academic standards high and I work very hard in the classroom. My GPA is 3.85.

As a freshman I attended the the Idaho State Cross Country Championship I placed in the top 40 in the state of Idaho.

Redfish Lake Memorial Run

This week I ran the Redfish Lake 5 K run. The race was held in the scenic Saw-tooth National Forest at 7200 ft. The trails were narrow and sandy with steep inclines. I received a first place finish out of 231 competitors. My time was 19.35, but considering the altitude and the running conditions I was very happy with my performance.

I got fourth place over all and first in my age group. My time was 34.26 This race was 5.3 miles it went from Twin Falls to Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, Idaho. The course began in the Snake River canyon out of it and then ended back in the canyon.
